Question by PsychoNazi: What are your views on new age metal?
When I say new age metal I mean metalcore (Bands-All That Remains, Killswitch Engage), death metal (Beneath The Massacre, Cannibal Corpse), groove metal (Chimaira, Lamb Of God), and the like. Many people are disgusted at them but I prefer them to the classic types of metal…power metal and other genres like it. I’d just like to know why so many people diss new age metal.

I really liked it when I was younger, but now I’m older and it really gives me a headache! LOL I can’t help it, it just does. I suppose it just doesn’t suit some folks because they can’t hear the words and they don’t like the voice they use when they sing.
But I still like it.
I don’t like new age metal just because it’s not my style. I don’t think there’s much harmony, or creativeness in new age metal. Lyrics and rifts are bland and repetitive.
I’m pretty sure Cannibal Corpse has a song about screwing a dead person… I cum blood I think…. Yeah, that’s enough for me not to like them.
